  • 1 ½ cups warm water (110°F/43°C) (360ml)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml), plus extra for drizzling
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic (about 4 cloves)
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese (100g), divided
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, olive oil, minced garlic, and half of the parmesan cheese. Mix until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the dough and transfer it onto an oiled baking sheet.
  6. Shape into a rectangle or circle about 1 inch thick. Create dimples on top with your fingers, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
