  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs (for pecan filling)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for pecan filling)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth. Add granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix until well combined. Fold in flour until just incorporated.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pie pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  4. While baking, prepare the pecan filling by mixing corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt in another bowl until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans.
  5. Once the brownie layer is baked, pour the pecan mixture over it and return to the oven for an additional 25-30 minutes until set.
