  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g), divided
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (50g)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (7g)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (115g), melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk with 1/4 cup sugar and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter and eggs; whisk until well combined. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. In another bowl, mix brown sugar, remaining granulated sugar, and cinnamon together for the filling.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle approximately ¼ inch thick. Spread softened butter over the surface and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from one edge into a log shape and cut into bite-sized pieces (about 1 inch thick).
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange rolls on a lined baking sheet with space between each piece and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
