Description

  • 1/2 cup water (120ml)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (28g)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (25g)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Sufficient quantity of oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt over medium heat until boiling. Remove from heat and stir in flour and baking powder until fully incorporated.
  2. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
  4. Use a small cookie scoop to form bite-sized pieces of dough and drop them into the hot oil in batches.
  5. Fry for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown on all sides. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon together. Roll each warm Churros Popper in this mixture before serving.
