  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 2 sheets nori (seaweed)
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions and let cool slightly.
  2. Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down. Spread about ¾ cup of sushi rice evenly over it, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
  3. Add mozzarella slices, basil leaves, sun-dried tomatoes, and prosciutto across the center of the rice layer.
  4. Roll the nori away from you using the bamboo mat while applying gentle pressure to form tight rolls. Seal the edge with a little water.
  5. Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into bite-sized pieces. Wipe the knife between cuts for cleaner slices.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving and enjoy!
