  • 12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs (at room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups sour cream ((not nonfat))
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, (softened)
  • 1/4 cup Reserved Batter ((see instructions))
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped fresh strawberries (more or less)
  • 9.5/10 inch 16 cup capacity angel food cake pan

Instructions

  1. Spray all inside surfaces of a 16 cup capacity nonstick angel food cake pan with nonstick cooking spray WITH FLOUR or grease and flour the inside of your pan. Set aside.*
