Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk cornmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the buttermilk and melted butter until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeños.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
