- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup frozen corn
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F (200C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and carrots, sautéing for 5-7 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic for 1 minute.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir for 2 minutes to cook the flour.
- Whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in frozen peas and corn, then season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top of the beef.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the tots are golden brown and crispy.
