- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until just under al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pan.
- Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and scrape the bottom of the pan to release the browned bits.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Simmer on medium heat for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss for 1-2 minutes over low heat until the pasta is well coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
