Description
A refreshing and creamy fusion of traditional Mexican horchata and rich cocoa. This drink is perfectly balanced with notes of cinnamon and vanilla.

- 1 cup long grain white rice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Place rice and cinnamon sticks in a bowl with 4 cups of water; soak overnight.
- Blend the soaked rice and cinnamon water until completely smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or fine sieve into a pitcher.
- Whisk cocoa powder and sugar into 1/2 cup of warm milk to create a smooth paste.
- Stir the chocolate paste into the strained rice milk until combined.
- Stir in vanilla extract and the remaining milk.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours, then serve over ice.
