- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 cup warm water (105-115°F)
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp melted unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a small bowl, stir together warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together bread flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the flour. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Gently punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a tight ball and place them in the prepared baking pan.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
- Optional: Brush the tops with melted butter immediately after removing from the oven.
