Description

A tender and juicy chicken dish seared to perfection and smothered in a rich, zesty lemon garlic butter sauce with fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken to the pan and sear for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken from the pan and let it rest on a plate for 5 minutes.
  5. Lower heat to medium and add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter to the same pan.
  6. Stir in minced garlic and dried oregano, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the lemon juice and scrape the bottom of the pan to release the brown bits.
  8. Stir in the fresh parsley and remove the pan from the heat.
  9. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the meat before serving.
