Description

A decadent, no-bake Halloween dessert featuring layers of chocolate pudding, crushed sandwich cookies, and a glossy chocolate ganache topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Milano cookies for tombstones

Instructions

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into coarse crumbs using a food processor or freezer bag.
  2. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Whisk in the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until the mixture thickens.
  4. Gently fold in the whipped topping with a spatula until combined but still airy.
  5. Layer half of the cookie crumbs in the bottom of a glass dish, followed by half of the pudding mixture.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with a final thick layer of cookie crumbs on top.
  7. Heat heavy cream until simmering, pour over chopped chocolate, let sit for 5 minutes, then stir in butter until glossy.
  8. Spread the ganache over the top of the cake and insert Milano cookies as tombstones.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
