- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- 12 oz wide egg noodles, cooked
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Add butter to the skillet, then stir in diced onions and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are golden brown.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 60 seconds until fragrant.
- Sprinkle flour over the meat and vegetables, stirring constantly for 2 minutes to cook out the raw flour taste.
- Slowly pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Remove skillet from heat. Fold in sour cream until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper, then serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.
