A sweet and salty holiday treat featuring saltine crackers topped with a rich maple syrup and butter toffee and toasted pecans.

- 1 sleeve (approx 40-50) saltine crackers
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange saltine crackers in a single, tight layer on the prepared sheet.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in maple syrup.
- Bring mixture to a gentle boil and simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened and glossy.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and fold in chopped pecans.
- Pour the hot maple mixture over the crackers and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes until the toffee is bubbling and set.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with sea salt.
- Cool completely for 30 minutes before breaking into shards.
