Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast, cubed
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (molasses-based)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 large carrots, chopped
  • 1 lb Yukon Gold potatoes, cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear beef in oil in a skillet until browned on all sides.
  3. Deglaze the skillet with a bit of beef broth and pour liquids into the slow cooker.
  4. Stir in BBQ sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Add seared beef, onions, carrots, and potatoes to the slow cooker.
