- 4 lb pork shoulder (Boston butt)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Rub the spice mixture thoroughly over all sides of the pork shoulder.
- Place the pork in the slow cooker.
- Pour apple cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce into the bottom of the pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours until the meat is tender.
- Remove the pork to a plate and shred with two forks.
- Return the shredded meat to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the remaining juices.
