Description

Tender, smoky pork shoulder slow-cooked until it shreds effortlessly. A perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors.


Ingredients

  • 4 lb pork shoulder (Boston butt)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Rub the spice mixture thoroughly over all sides of the pork shoulder.
  3. Place the pork in the slow cooker.
  4. Pour apple cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce into the bottom of the pot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours until the meat is tender.
  6. Remove the pork to a plate and shred with two forks.
  7. Return the shredded meat to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the remaining juices.
