Description
A savory and sweet fusion bowl featuring seared beef strips and caramelized pineapple chunks tossed in a homemade teriyaki glaze over fluffy jasmine rice.

- 1 lb Flank steak, sliced thin against the grain
- 2 cups Fresh pineapple chunks
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Freshly grated ginger
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 3 cups Cooked jasmine rice
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 Green onions, sliced for garnish
- Optional: Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic in a bowl until sugar is dissolved.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add pineapple chunks and sear for 2 minutes per side until browned; remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the pan. Sear beef strips in a single layer for 2-3 minutes until browned on both sides.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the beef. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce reduces into a thick glaze.
- Return the seared pineapple to the pan and stir for 30 seconds to coat.
- Divide cooked rice into bowls and top with the beef and pineapple mixture.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
